Last post said we would have a chilly/cold weekend and it has been. This week looks to be very active with a backdoor cold front swinging through here Tuesday and chilling us down.

Thursday we have a strong cutter storm that will “cut” to our west and into the Great Lakes bringing us some rain and wind again but this time we will be warm on Thursday and Friday.

Next week for the great American holiday we go cold and there is a chance with the active storm pattern that we could see white gold and possible light accumulations N and W of NYC.  Atmosphere is a percolating getting ready to head into winter here peeps but it will be a step down process as it always is. Dec ember will start off mild and we will fluctuate between mild and cold each lasting a couple of days as thing get sorted out by Momma Nature and she gets here house in order for our winter.

This shows the heights in red over the Gulf of Alaska being red which means a strongly;y negative EPO. The blue across the Great Lakes where it circles is the core of the cold air that will bleed east. See the deep red, purpilish color over NE Canada/SW Greenland?  That is your Greenland block. Between Nov 23 rd and Nov 30th time frame we could see a couple of storms – they may bring some white gold to our area and more N&W – looky see:

Snow :

Jimbo – your country house is in the deep purple spot – hahahaha!! This will change 100x so don’t get too excited until i tell yuo too !! But it is pretty to see a snow map – WEENIES UNITE!!

Here is full blown 500mb pattern in chaos from fall to winter at the end of the frames you see a deep blue swirl off the coast – that could be a decent coastal storm if the Greenland block is true

Peeps this is not going to lock in our winter just yet. We will moderate to warm up above normal in early December and then hopefully we can get winter started by mid if not the end of the month. Joe Bastardi calling for the pattern to change come December – hope to h – e – double L hockey stix he is right!!
