Well a shout out to one of my best friends, mentor and coach – literally, a brother in my eyes who has joined the Al Q weather weenie train – the legend and hall of fame coach – The Bucc! After getting together last weekend we were talking and as life would have it you don’t get to talk or see each other as often as you’d like so we were talking about the weather and I told him about my site. He signed up right then!! BOYAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Tuesday Minimal not 2

Ahhhh blasphemy with this coastal. This is a turd but any snow is good snow and we’ll see maybe a coasting or just a flurries in NNJ with more as you go east out to the new snow capital of the North East Long Island –GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!! Less as you go west of say Passaic County.

 Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Southern Connecticut and
southeast New York.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Light snow is likely to develop across the region towards midnight
and then gradually taper off Tuesday Morning. A light dusting to an
inch of snow is possible for the Tuesday morning commute. There is a
low probability of 1 to 2 inches. With temperatures dropping into
the 20s tonight, icy conditions are possible on untreated surface

Book End Weekend

Now this has me excited and saying let’s do this. Say what with the title? This means we have the possibility of a Friday storm and a Monday storm that could and I say COULD (OH BOY AM I PRAYING!! as is Zugoli, Greenwood, Sonett, Snow Queen and all chilins in school as well as the teachers LOL! close school or gives a delayed and a day off. This would be most excellent – the last time we had such – February 2015 but it was bookend storms for the week a Monday & Friday duo. This one has legs and they are smokin!!

Friday looks to be a rain to snow type of system but the cold air rushes in big time. This may cause slick/treacherous conditions if the models have a clue as to the timing.

Monday – what timing – Albarella I deserve something from that beast of a Superbowl pool you are running if this happens no? How about my box cost returned? This would be the third time in five years we have the SB Monday off. This one can be a SECS (yes pronounced SEX) storm – 6″ plus.

Hammer Time

Let me tell you this stretch of 4-6 weeks which looks to be running till about mid March from all guidance models and what is happening in the Pacific and Indian Ocean will be dropping teh hammer. We are getting into our climatologist snowiest part of teh winter. This is what we can be looking at:

Deep purple is the Polar Vortex that is locked in going forward and once these do lock in they last for weeks at times.

Big Ridge in teh west and the storms will rotate around teh base of this bad boy Polar Vortex so we’ll have snow chance after snow chances for a few weeks!

Gonna need a snuggle on VDAY for sure BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

Get the blower ready peeps and the firewood cause it is going to be one hell of a 2nd half to winter. Coming back with a vengeance.

I think Snow Queen just lost her crown and will be in a neck brace in school manana -LOL!!
