It is going to be wet and windy tomorrow with 1-3″ of rain expected as I wrote this past weekend about. Take a look NNJ jackpot – lets hope this trend continues through Dec, Jan Feb and March known as DJFM lingo.
Now for the winds: 15-25mph with some gusts above 25mph especially as you head towards the coast. SNJ shore could see 35 -45 mph winds!!
After a warm front moves through tomorrow and things clear out by 7AM Thursday morning a cold front swing through and we fall into the 50’s during the day possibly upper 40’s on Saturday in some spots and 30’s at night. True fall weather. A lot of leaves will be in need of a cleaning after this storm which is teh remnants of Tricia, Patti, Patricia, Pat yada yada yada!
El Nino Update:
The waters of the SA coast continue to cool in Region 1.2 and why is this good you ask? Because regions 3.4 and 4 are stealing all the warm waters so we can have a good to great winter. Things are setting up fro what is called a Basin Wide Nino and us snow weenies will be happy I am thinking at this time. Snow growth is there, warm waters 6-10 miles away and possible blocking in the North Atlantic which would slow down our storms – make them last longer – you know like a man not a ……………..
Beginning of November we may see our Indian Summer with temps reaching 70* – typical for a Nino fall. I am seeing February being a cold and snowy month at this time and some severe arctic cold at that like this past February. Just a peek into what I shall be discussing in my state of the winter address/write up coming out by mid November.
OIL:
The price of oil and natural gas due to the glut worldwide – Nat Gas in the US – is taking a beating – $1.65 gasoline in central and SNJ this weekend – cash that is!! Nat gas down to $2 a cubic ft. Looks like $60 a barrel is here until 2017 from the latest data. Anyway, enjoy it cause you know as well as I do any little hiccup and these mongers will try to rake us. Here is the article.
