Cold Air Damming = what I teach…….CAD!!!
That is the name of the game right now as models have underestimated, modeled and forecasted the cold air down through CNJ. They starting picking up on this and a better consolidation of the vorticity of the energy as well.
Snow Royalty will be very happy, you complain after the past two winters I shall banish you!!! Take what you can get and don’t be upset!!

Heavy front end thump then for parts of NNJ a quick changeover to a mix then a lull then back end snows until about 2pmish maybe 3pm since the model stops at 1PM below. I think it is running a tad too warm and the mix only makes it up to between I78 and I80 corridor.

NYC Metro -2-3 maybe 4″” (yes the streak will be broken but it may happen again!!)
S Passaic & N Bergen CT – 4-8″
W Passaic County, N Morris County and Sussex – 8-12″

HRRR snow rates over 2″ per hour tonight and even 1-2″/HR tomorrow into the afternoon with the 2nd batch. WOW!!
