White Gold Tuesday Evening/Night, PV comes to town

Well we may actually see some white gold Tuesday evening and night into Wednesday morning. There is an arctic front by the push of the PV – Polar Vortex, yes the one that will bring brutal ice age cold temperatures and wind chills to the upper Midwest and into PA look to push through here Tuesday evening. A storm looks to form on this frontal boundary and we could go from rain to snow which will cause slick/icy conditions for Tuesday Night later and Wednesday morning’s commute.

My call now is 1-3″ for NYC Metro, 2-4″ outside of NY Metro (Western Bergen County, Lower Passaic County and 3-6″ in NW NJ Wayne low-end like 3″ and North more like 4″ (PB Land) and LHV – Orange County like 4/5″ more North.
This trend we’ll have to see overnight if it can trend colder and wetter after the cold air rushes in.
GFS trend is good – more SE movement than going the other way NW like last storm! BARNEY???? MAYBE….

EURO shows this colder trend
So what does this mean – could be lots of D.O.’s flying Wednesday morning if we can pull it off and snow until 7amish or over perform and get 3″ in the NYC Metro.
PV Cold = BRUTAL
The upper Midwest through to PA will get hammered by this cold – we’ll feel it to but not as brutal as they will:

I see single digits lows for NNJ – NW NJ goes negative single digits – if we put down 2-4″ then temps may go down a couple of degrees colder.
Anyway we wont get above freezing until SUNDAY FROM THE LOOKS FOR NNJ

Could be DO’s for “smart” schools Thursday morning due to the abnormal cold and wind chills !!!

Imagine back to back DO’s??? Last time was after teh great Presidents Day Blizzard in 1978 – 3 days off from school followed by 2 delayed openings – awesome!!
