Happy 2nd Monday of May!!

SQUALLS – UNBELIEVABLE

Folks the three (3) squalls I and many of your experiences were historical in nature. We had two moderate and one intense squall that poured graupel and snow!! I was driving home with my wife from Total Wine – had to get the deuce and juice – the store was hopping but people were all good boys and girls with the SD (that is gonna be interesting when schools reopen!)

Graupel is also called soft hail or snow pellets, is precipitation that forms when supercooled water droplets are collected and freeze on falling snowflakes, forming 2–5 mm balls of rime. The term graupel is the German language word for sleet. Graupel is distinct from hail and ice pellets

It was 47 degrees when it was snowing and graupel was falling from the sky – the highest temperature EVER – well for modern record keeping times dating back to 1869 – in this NYC Metropolis

High Point NJ recorded the lowest spread of temperatures for May EVER- this is the lowest temperature minus the high temperature for the day – the spread was 12 degrees!!!

Yesterday, May 9th the average temperature at High Point was 30°, and the diurnal range was only 12 degrees (min of 24 and max of 36).

That was the coldest average daily temperature since records began in NJ in May.

And as a bonus, we also had snow and winds to 50 mph!

To all the mother’s, I hope your day was great yesterday and that your kids whom you brought into this world treated you special. For you have helped nurtured the next generation of young and men and women to the best of your abilities.

 

15Free Gig’s Data

So how about this. During this pandemic Verizon is providing its customers who have the triple bundle play with 15 Gig of extra data!! Isn’t that awesome????? ……………………………..NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO FRICKING WAY!! Why is it such malarkey you ask? Cause we are locked in our homes with our wifi!!! You are not providing me or the members with anything new really and this data cannot be rolled over so keep your 15 Gigs of data and give us a 10% discount of our tv, internet and phone package instead if you want to help. What kind of asinine idea is this extra gigabits when we are locked in our homes using our standard data wifi in my opinion? Makes no common sense at all.

 

Vitamin D

The building block of our bodies. The immune system foundation. The natural process of our health both physically and mentally. Our bodies need this and when we do not get Vitamin D we get sick both physically and emotionally. So why is this important? Because we are seeing that SO MANY of those who have come down with this horrible illness of COVID 19 are deficient at moderate to severe levels.

So how do we get Vitamin D?

Naturally – get 15-20 minutes of direct sunlight a day unfiltered – no sunscreen and it needs to be when the sun is at its strongest time frame around 11 – 1 or 2 pm depending on the time of year. Darker skin peeps need more like 20 -30 minutes and it doesn’t have to be in one sitting but spread over intervals by what researchers have shown.

Foods – green leafy foods – kale, spinach, lettuces (romaine) all have this vitamin in them.

Supplements – take a Vitamin D3 spray 2x a day after you eat and or a multivitamin that has this will help. It also depends on how your body absorbs this.

Blood work will show your levels and then figure out what to take from there. If it show 20-30 mg the doctor may say your fine but you actually need 30-50 mg . (Dr, Kaplan, Dr Shiva, Dr Kelly, Mayo Clinic to name a few sources)
