I have been writing about this for a week now, the cold shot – it got into the upper 40’s for many location in NNJ and low 50’s for the rest of the metropolitan region. Absolutely magnificent early fall, 2 days old, weather. No AC (save on the exuberant utility – electric bill – do not get me started on this, the frigging scam of  the offshore windmill projects soaked the state for 300 million plus and we have nothing to show, it killed hundreds of marine animals and gave us zero energy), windows open just gorgeous with bright sunny days. So much for that wet week right!

Well Mr. Nor is coming to town, literally maybe for some along the Jersey shore.

Start Time: Saturday morning

Rainfall Amounts:

1.5-3″ plus if training occurs where the rains just sit for a prolong period of time.

Jersey shore are 2-4″

Flooding will be an issue.

Coastal Flooding will be moderate to major in Cape May, Ocean, Atlantic Counties’ – Manasquan Inlet South, Delaware Bay, up to Philly  there will be tidal flooding.

Monmouth County, LI South Shores will have moderate to possible major flooding.

There is a full moon Saturday night and this will cause the tides to be a good 1′ above normal. Storm tides will be 2-6′ above normal for the entire shores of LI, NJ, and Delaware Bay.

NYC will see some tidal flooding as well.

End time: Monday afternoon

NNJ/NYC possible

Shore: Likely

Winds:

NNJ/NYC 20-30 mph with gusts up to 40mph

LI and Jersey Shores – 25-35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph plus

The track of the storm – you can see how it gets pull back to the coast. The EURO Ai has been on this for days now and its stability and consistency has been very good.

8-14′ at he coast

25-40′ out at sea

 

So we have tomorrow to do what we need.

Peeps buckle up for we have a long fall and winter ahead with many coastal storms to deal with. From my man Bradywx – all the dips in the wave are storms – this is our line up for Rocktober peeps!! Al Q and the boys are going to be very busy blogging!! Good thing I am retired to do so LOL!

The barrier islands and beaches will be taking a pounding.
