Folks,

Last day of summer was yesterday and today until 8:05PM. It was a good summer with lots of sunshine and t-storms as it should with some cool days mixed in.

Now all eyes turn to what I said could be for this weekend.

Coastal Kicks off Fall?

Peeps there are signs for this to occur this coming Friday through possibly Saturday or Sunday before pulling away. The coast has to pay attention for the inshore flow for a few days leading up will lead to minor coastal erosion and flooding. We also have a full moon on Sept 26th that will certainly effect the tides and if we have a costal storm come up from the South eastern Atlantic things could get interesting. Never say never with our ramping of extremish weather events. These are the times and get use to it and expect for greater and more severe events.

GFS says this very wild track as the storm gets pulled into the coast after two days of being off the coast. This would be a major concern for the coast peeps.

 

Update: Latest Euro shows a strong Nor’easter that will impact the area Friday through Sunday as currently projected.

 

Winds should range between 20-30MPH plus for inland areas.

Shore should be 30-50 MPH plus wind gusts.

Rainfall amounts 1-3″

Coastal Flooding will be moderate to possibly major especially with the full moon Saturday night at the peak of the storm.

Tides will run about 3-5′ above normal and this will last for about four high tides with the E NE winds pushing the water up along the shore. There will be significant beach erosion in some shore area.

Power outages will be and to what extent remains to be seen. Especially along the coast.

This is a big Nor and has an eye like a hcane peeps!!

The worst shall be Saturday through Sunday for our area.
