Well I am going to bust low for my snowfall total for the month of Feb and I am in jeopardy of this winter before all is said and done. I called for 10″ plus and so far we have had 7″ so I am 30% shy – ugghh if it was a sale I’d be happy happy but I am a dime short of a quarter on that call. Also, I am busting ion the below normal temps for Feb – we are going to finish about 1-1.5 degrees above normal. So what happened – we had the cold and blocking on the wrong side of the globe for God’s sake. Also, the polar Vortex did not split or dislodge and hold that position due to what was deemed as stratospheric warming from latent heat release from teh huge Siberian Snow extent – layman’s terms – teh cold air got bottled up North and when it came down it was in and out – like …………………….I’ll stop and refrain from a comment here.

Tomorrow is teh last day of met winter and I will do a write up later this month after I take in all the information but fact being in a nutshell the tropical forcing that i thought would help dominate the pattern got basically cancelled out due to the Indian Ocean – that’s right those wild Indians paid us back by cancelling out this forcing!

March 1 tomorrow ends Met Winter and we start Met spring – the days get longer and warmer and the sun angle increases.

Possible snow storm this Thursday night into Friday and then possibly again over teh weekend.

Why – well the PV is going to press down on Wed into Thursday and if it can escape out of here quicker than modelled by a few hours then there will be a coastal storm that will ride up the coast – it will not be rain and cut but could also go out to sea as most pro mets are harping on – you know what is going to happen peeps ……………………..

This maybe teh last chance for snow this season even though I think after mid month we may have another chance if timing is right due to the destruction of teh polar vortex and blockling that will take over – this will equal cold, raw and rainy possibly white – if this occurred in early Feb like I thought it would we would have rocked and I mean rocked the month with numerous snowstorms – can’t live life by IF’s now peeps.
