We are getting hammered right now with this storm from CNJ on northward in NNJ. It should last until about 4 PM by the latest radar. The areas of yellow are 1-2″ per hour snowfall rates. IF this storm has blocking like last storm it would have been a monster but that may happen at the end of this week or early the following.
In blue just to the North and South it will …..PUKE snow !!! Its called training where the moisture just sets up and keep reinforcing itself and lasts for hours.
4-8″ is a safe call for ….NOW LOL!!!
I have to say I have never seen such huge majestic snow flakes in a very long time – very peaceful – ……SERENITY NOW!

Deep purple is what’s called frontogenesis which shows juicier/ stronger bands of SNOW! Developing in the South which will swing through here this afternoon

GFS which did horribly with this storm says a nice 1-3″ refresher
Thursday Friday look to be what is called an over running event where warm air runs over colder dense arctic air – and it snows ..for…..HOURS!!!!
Temps in the teens for this storm.
