As you know already by now that a major heat wave is on its way. I was texting freinds last Thursday and Friday about this. Just ask: G Bach, EJ, the Highlands Puritans, Gueci, Lyncher, Stroh, Sabella (you’ll alwasy be to me!) Extremes will be more as we move along with this magnetic pole reversal of the earth’s cycle, the sun’s cycle, and the planetary cycle. Yes, it is not you, me or co2 but a cycle that we have been on for years and it is ramping up. The extremes will become more in weather, seismic activity, tsunamis, wildfires etc. So back to the heat wave.
It comes hot and heavy like that kid at the high school dance ready to show his moves to the ladies for wooing them!!

Stay cool folks and if these temperatures do verify from Raleigh through the megalopolis corridor Thursday and Friday the grid (electric system) will be put to the test and I would not be surprised if we had some outages. Even a true-blue blackout/brownout. Why do you ask? Because let us compare this to the cold snap in January through Mid-February where the system was at its max and almost failed…. multiple times. This is not conjecture but truth. I take my Honors Engineering students each year to the Bergen Generating facility in NJ where they produce electricity for all of Bergen County and parts of Hudson County. Each year we visit and the plant manager told us this startling information. Why the issue and power failure? Lack of supply (power generation) due to …. you ready…. green initiatives for solar and wind taking nuclear power and fossil plants offline, scrapping them. So, if it happens and you know why.
The sun is rocking and the earth is responding and get use to it for it shall continue in ebbs and flows.

Enjoy folks and upates to come more frequently now that I have offically retired after 34 years as teacher from the NJ Public School System. 33 years at Northern Highlands which was a home away from home. A special place for me and my students who I was privelaged and grateful to have taught in the CAD LAB CAD, Engineering, and Architecture. Also, those who I coached in various sports (Boys Soccer, Basketball, Track and Field). A bid a farewell to it all and now onto the next chapters in life.
It is never a goodbye…….. but rather I will see you later.
