Midpoint of August.
Well this weekend turned out well overall and warmer than thought on Sunday.
Here’s what I said: This weekend looks to be good overall. Temps in the low 80’s and skies will have clouds and sun on Friday (more cloudiness towards CNJ and SNJ) and Saturday with showers at night and clearing skies Sunday morning. Next round of rain is Tuesday. As I said earlier this summer and keep reiterating that it was going to be a wet and cool overall summer with very few 90-degree days. That has been the case and it will through the end of this month.
Not too shabby eehhh??
Going forward, another trough will settle into the Northeast for this Friday and again next Tuesday. It is every 3-4 days that a new trough builds into the Northeast. So again, what does this mean? It means that when the trough builds in we will have wet and cooler than normal conditions. I am not seeing a heat wave for us this month, maybe a couple of days of upper 80’s but not widespread 90 degrees plus. A heatwave is constituted as three straight days of the high temperature reaching 90 degrees or greater. I do not count Newark since those readings are contaminated by the temperature sensor location. It is at the end of the takeoff and landing runway next to the 10 lane NJ Turnpike.

I think the end of August will feature late September like nights with temps in the 50’s and maybe even upper 40’s in the ruburbs.
Maui Fires
The devastation is horrific as is the death toll. Sadly, from what I’ve read it is mostly children. There are MANY questions surrounding this event.
Why was the fire department told to stand down and leave the initial blaze and report it was 100% put out?
Why did the EAS = Emergency Alert System, the worlds greatest and why – Tsunami warnings, not sound the 400 sirens to alert residents to evacuate and seek shelter?
Where was the Mayor, Emergency Management Director, Fire Chief when the fire was raging? With Biden on the beach vacationing?
And WHY in this GOD given land of America did our President when asked about the death toll climbing and the devastation if he had any comments, remarks about this looked puzzled (natural for this ailing man) pause and stammer with No, No Comment. But this is okay? And then he sends another $200 million of pour hard earned tax dollars to the Ukraine? Then offers the citizens owning a household or property $700? That is a friggin’ insult!!! He and the government ion power and organization do not care about Americans, only that we fund their programs and power I have witnessed. We are up to tens of billions to the Ukraine but can’t even help our own folks as we should. Both George’s f’d up after Hurricane’s Andrew in ’92 and Katrina in 2005. So, I do not care who is in power, help those who you are to serve and in dire straits.
Why are private donations and supplies not allowed in?
Why are they takin DNA from every surviving family member? For a catalog database? Hey I know they have one on each of us already, if you don’t think so listen to Snowden’s interviews, this has been happening since the Patriot Act or Unpatriotic Act was passed = more power, more control in the name of terrorism and protection.
Why were schools closed when the fire did not even start?
Why are there 3 books on Amazon already about the fire? Do you know how long it takes to write and get a book published? A Year plus.
How coincidence (not at all) is the police chief the same man who was in charge for another planned event – The Las Vegas Shooter.

Over 2,700 structures were destroyed in Lahaina, Maui, valued at approximately $5.6 billion.
Meanwhile, President Joe Biden, with $115 billion sent to Ukraine, offers just $1.9 million ($700 per household) to Lahaina.

El Niño
It moving in the right direction for winter as region 1.2 is slowly cooling. I would like it to get down to below 1.0C by November and we are starting the decent. These warmer waters are migrating west toward the dateline which help induce a possible good winter for the North East.
Last blog I wrote and believe this will be not come to fruition
Calls for a strong to super El Niño – the area of the Pacific Ocean that literally controls all of Central and North America’s weather patterns hence weather is coming back after an unprecedented 3 years of La Nina – cooling waters at the subsurface and surface of the equatorial Pacific Ocean between Western Coast of South America and East coast of Australia. I do not see a Super Niño (I stand by this) as some fear mongered and were hoping for but a moderate El Nino is definitely in the cards. Where this warm blob of water sets up will determine our weather pattern for the fall and subsequent winter. Yes, this far out we are looking at indicators, always looking, for this upcoming winter season. You ask why, I ask back…. WHY THE HELL NOT!?? I know the snow royalty on this blog will concur!
