Like I said in my last post that we would most likely go from snow to rain and it looks like this starting tomorrow afternoon into night  going from snow to a mix (sleet) to rain. Snowfall accumulations are in the range of a coating to 2″ for NNJ &  LHV. There is not enough cold air to work with – unlike last week when we had the arctic air that was very stubborn to retreat – if this was the case for tomorrow we woudl be seeing accumulations in the 4″ range. Rainfall lasts until Thursday – DREADFUL!! Unless you like this weather!

The NAM says we get a good thump of snow – same model that said we woudl have 2-4″ of snow this morning and I had rain showers!!!!!!!

I know I wish it were true but it will not verify – again not enough cold air at play – last winter this would be a MECS storm = Major East Coast Storm of 6″ plus. No should a, could a, would a here peeps.

Looking ahead to next week if the dam models are going to be right once this winter with the pattern for storms we see an active and cold pattern starting the 27th and going through March 10th.  Imagine if this comes to fruition this would be …………………………………….AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We’ll see what is to come. Usually March has the biggest probability of Nor’easters due to the warm air from the tropics trying to surge North and the cold polar air still sitting in Northern US wanting to press down. If timing is right, once again timing, then we could see a great storm.

This is the canadian model showing a cold pattern for the mid Atlantic and NE – sorry spring lovers if this happens.

First week of March we could see a such a storm or two if timing and spacing is right between the storms. Looky see:

One can only hope!!!!!!!! Winter maybe stubborn to go away.

So, those in NWNJ and LHV may have to deal with some slick spots tomorrow early evening but other than that the rest and us all change over to blah rain.
