On this last Sunday of April – wow this month flew – we had a gorgeous Spring Day yesterday with temps hitting teh low 60’s. I hope you all got outside, payed some ball with your family, talk to a neighbor from across the street and were able to accomplish some outside chores.

Wetness galore

Well, we had .95″ of wetness Thursday . Today into tomorrow we can expect rainy, raw, and breezy to windy conditions along the coast. Here is the total rainfall amounts:

3/4 ” to 1.5″ of rain for far N&W areas

White for Dem Hills and reports are coming in that the Catskills and Poconos are reporting….WHITE GOLD!!

SNOW totals – very impressive for this time of the year

Beginning of May

This is a conundrum right now peeps for those wanting warmth. I always say let teh seasons be teh seasons – those of you who wish for warmth in teh winter up here get this weather in the spring and you pissed of Big Momma:

So here we go into May with the first half going to be below normal temperature and raw, rainy conditions!! Will there be normal temperature days – yes there will but overall it is looking to be cooler and wet

Mid May – look at this – a ridge over the west coast and a trough over the east with a Negative EPO and a slight NAO block. BN temps to be expected with this pattern.

Food Issues Rising

Okay some of you thought I was crazy, an alarmist with this as I have been harping on for months now. Guess what suckers – Al – stradamus’s call (that’s me!) about food issues is coming sadly and scarily to fruition not only here but around the world. Beef, Pork and poultry will be no so easy to come by in the coming weeks for this area. You need to hook up with a local farmer and poultry place – Goffle Brook (Hawthorne), Minella’s in Paterson etc to keep a line of business open with them. Why? there is systematic plan in place and they are telling farmers to euthanize their livestock!!! 10,00 pigs and over 300,000 birds were taken out this past week on top of a few more processing (slaughterhouses!) taken offline? You can’t just grow a cow in 4 week or a chicken! Oh and the news is making mention these last few days – Fox, NBC, CBS – hmmmmmm these num nuts should have read my blog but naaaaahh I am a conspiracy follower as I have been called. I am not a

On a positive note – 1 years Friday I was called while eating lunch with my lunch crew – PB, Ray, Laura R., Meredith, Mary L. Kuz and Come on Eileen. The all was my pathology report from the biopsy taken of the mass in my large intestines. It was not good and sent a deep, core pit less cold feeling in my gut when Dr. Z said these words” Mr. Mugno I do not like to do this over teh phone but you said it was okay, the biopsy came back and you have cancer. The tumor is located in your large intestines on the right side. You will need surgery ASAP.” My world spun and I said F!$#. I called my wife at work and she dropped the phone and starting to vomit crying hysterically. I then went into a F this mode and contact my brother Simo, he was not in his office where that SOB is always!, and then to my principle Joe O and he was not there – Momma Mia! So I left them each a message. I went to class and my CAD 2 class was working on their CO2 cars in the wood shop. I then told my partner for 27 years at Highlands Albo and he got upset. I then asked a student whom I had and still have a great rapport with Juddy  and asked if I could contact his father who is a world renowned surgeon. I just told Juddy that I needed surgery. He looked at me and knew what it was but sis not say a word, a very poise and mature young man. He gave me his cell phone and said call him. So on my way to seeing Dr Z and go over my pathology report I called Dr. Sonett and left a message. he called me back 5 minutes later, I explained to him what the situation was and he said, I am sorry, you will be fine and or are going to see Dr. Kieran. I am going to contact him and his office now and will let you know. He is the person you are going to see and he will take care of you. Dr. Sonett before he got on a flight to  a world conference in Turkey that he was the keynote presenter, he texted me his thread with Kieran’s office and they are expecting my call.

In the meantime I called my old and family Dr. friend Dr. Gary Kosc. A gentle giant of a man who is also brilliant in this field of gastrointestinal medicine. He called me back right sway he spoke with Christine adn I for 15 minutes and explained in great detail but in a positive manner this. He said please send me a copy of your reports which I did and he called back adn said – you will be fine. I will pray for you.

I felt better adn the next day of April 25th I called Dr. Kieran’s office and they said we are waiting your call, come in at 2PM  he will see you. Then Denise the office manager said, we waited till 6 pm after hours last night and were waiting for your call, Dr. Kieran said you are a family friend of Dr. Joshua Sonett. When he walked in he brought an air of expertise an confidence into our examination. When he said after examining my reports, you will be fine. I will cure you once I take this tumor out. You may need chemo but that is not my area adn we’ll go there when the time comes.

I left with a newfound confidence adn so did my wife Chrsitine.

The road has not beene asy but what road ever is in life that is challenging? I was supported by so many  – family, freinds, co workers, aquatinces, studnets present and graduated, and their families. The confidence and instetinal fortitude to power through this came from them.

One year dwon and many, many more to live!!
