A bit jet-lagged after a jam-packed trip to Portugal with Trafalgar Tours. What an amazing country, people, and food. My goodness, can those people eat! They eat literally three full meals a day, and dinner is at 7:30 PM or later! It took some adjusting to this lifestyle.
They have an incredible history, and they were the ones who started the exploration of the continents. Heck, if it were not for the Knights Templar, we would not be here in America, and most of Europe would be under Muslim control. Well, they are getting close to it again. Shame on them for making the same mistake twice. It took the Portuguese 500 years to purge the Muslims, and now they are coming back, and the people are not having it!
Anyway, I missed the huge storms here, but I was texting my weather core peeps at all hours about this, warning them and sending them radar images. Wow, that was nuts, but not as nuts as what is to come tomorrow through Wednesday. I keep telling y’all that extreme weather events and seismic events are gonna keep getting more extreme!
Well, here is the nutshell for this upcoming “RARE” storm. It is a cut-off low-pressure system that somehow gets cut off from the jet stream and just goes off over our area.
Time: Tonight thruugh Wednesday Night/Maybe Thursday but mainly showers on and off if that long as it seems
Rainfall Amounts: 3-5″ plus maybe an isolated area of 6″
Flooding: Yes, flash flooding as well
Winds -10-15 with 20 mph top gusts possible

Rainfall: DOOOHHHH!!

Speaking of we went to Fatima and it was incredible. Extremely spiritual and uplifting. Incredible to see so many devout Catholics and Christians and many young people as well.
The great time debate!! Natural time si standard time, ask any farmer or animla – when teh sun goes down its bed time, when it rises we get up, KISS. Not this arbitrary bs we can Daylight Savings Time. We made this up and are the only one who abide by this, not Russia nor China or Europe as a whole which have greater land mass and time zones than us.
In every state, Standard Time is closer to solar time, Daylight Saving Time is more misaligned. Make clocks more honest again. Ditch DST, for natural health!
On April 10, 2025, the National Golf Course Owners Association told Congress that permanent Standard Time could reduce golf revenue by $1.6B; and permanent Daylight Saving Time could increase golf revenue by $1.0B (these figures were not peer-reviewed).
On the same date, the American Academy of Sleep testified that DST could contribute to 60% of adults and 80% of teens lacking sleep; that permanent DST could increase depression 6% and increase fatal crashes 21.8%; that permanent Standard Time was preferred in public polling 2:1; and many other peer-review figures.
Sorry a big NO to the golf owners association!!
Here again is the all time record high temperatures for each state that coincide with July – not HEAT INDEX but actual temperatures. Educate oneself to see when it was hotter – 1930’s or today?? I’ll wait……….
NJ hit 110* in 1936!! North and South Dakota hit 120 and 121*!!!! Holy HELL hot!!
I guess all that cars exhaust and airplane co2 did that back then ehhh??? Or was it the horse and cow farts??
