Well and here we are hitting the 100 degree mark with a heat index of 117* -WOWZA!

Whew we need relief and its coming:

Monday through Tuesday morning – BIG T-storms incoming with Flash Flooding and huge relief as the cold front swing through to drop our temperatures by about 25* = WOW!!

Oh and this three-four day heat we are experiencing was also experienced many times before, in this area, nothing new or old so lets not get to crazy, shall we.

From USAwx Board – this GIF shows the t-storms in yellow and reds(are severe storms) along with all the green rain that will be moving through here over the next 36 hours.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
EARLY TUESDAY MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of northeast New Jersey and
  southeast New York, including the following areas, in
  northeast New Jersey, Eastern Bergen, Eastern Essex, Eastern
  Passaic, Eastern Union, Hudson, Western Bergen, Western Essex,
  Western Passaic, and Western Union. In southeast New York,
  Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), New York (Manhattan), Northern
  Nassau, Northern Queens, Richmond (Staten Island), Southern
  Nassau, Southern Queens, and Southern Westchester.

* From Monday afternoon through early Tuesday morning.

* Rain showers with embedded thunderstorms will develop and move
  across Monday through early Tuesday. The thunderstorms will be
  capable of producing heavy rainfall and multiple rounds of these
  thunderstorms with heavy rain will be possible. Rainfall totals
  of around 1.5 to 2 inches are expected with locally higher
  amounts possible.

* Flash flooding will be possible, especially in areas of poor
  drainage, low-lying areas, and in urban areas. Fast reacting
  rivers and streams may flood as well.

Then we see temps crash into the 70's - Zungoli's years of the single digits!
