Fall Back

So peeps how does it feel to have that extra hour of sleep? Wonderful right? I love when folks say the days are getting shorter – if this were to occur the geomagnetic physics of our solar system would be collapsing and we’d be in a pile of manure!! They are not getting shorter – you’re sleeping later LOL! No all that we have done is moved the daylight as we humans have tinkered with its time here in the USA – thanks to Ben Franklin – by moving the daylight back , yes back an hour. The amount of daylight stays the same, well it is shortening cause we are heading to……………WINTER!! The nighttime of darkness is getting longer. Now that we have cleared this up lets move onto to this next hot topic or will soon be. I am telling you now, watch the TV Mets poo poo this storm until the poo poo hits that fanpoo!!!

1st Snow

AS I said in a weather forum last month that our pattern was shaping up to see cold adn our 1st snow chance in teh 1st week of November, or shall we call it…………..”SNOW”VEMBER!! Or “BRO”VEMEBR?? or how about “MO”VEMEBR?? All of the above teacher!!

We have a cold air mass in place and it will be sticking around – why well as I have been harping on the next topic below and the warm blob in the North east Pacific ala 2013 -14 winter and 2014-15 – remember those winter?? Hum dingers!!

What could we see and when? Lyncher for you buddy:

WHEN: this Friday/Saturday

WHAT: Could be rain to snow, or just snow.

ACCUMULATIONS: Possible along the coast but chances increases as you move west and north into them hills of NNJ , NW NJ and Rockland, Westchester and Orange Counties.

WHY? Cause its gonna be a LOOOONNNNNGGGG winter – grand solar minimum style as we have seen many times before on this planet. lucky for us, well me, we are alive to experience this!!

Thermosphere Climate Index this indicator has a downward affect on the levels of the atmosphere below so it helps propogate this cold downward if conditions are right for it to do so. To complex to discuss but just leave it at that, I will let you know if it and when signs are coming and they are starting to show for this winter.

hey have broken all – time record cold adn snowfall amounts in hundreds of locations. Why haven’t we heard  you ask ………………the media and its agenda.

The cold trough coming out of the west brought heavy snows to the Rockies and high plains and temperatures 30 to 50 degrees below normal.

And we have also seen many other all-time October lows in cities all across the western half of the country…

-Bozeman, Montana: minus 14 degrees (Oct. 29 and 30)

-Casper, Wyoming: minus 8 degrees (Oct. 29 and 30)

-Grand Junction, Colorado: 12 degrees (Oct. 30)

-Livingston, Montana: minus 12 degrees (Oct. 29)

-Rawlins, Wyoming: minus 20 degrees (Oct. 30)

-Rock Springs, Wyoming: minus 6 degrees (Oct. 30)

-Salt Lake City: 14 degrees (Oct. 30)

Temperatures dropped to a record of -35F at Logan County Sink in Utah and -46F in Peter’s Sink

Survivor

Peeps, I had the most phenomenal news since my wife told me she was pregnant with our boys, well did not know they would be be boys – and wth is with these parties for revealing what yuor having – Jesus H everything today is so over the top, live life and not make it so drama filled, its nature, sorry for this – so back to this incredible news. My upper bodacious body scan results showed that I am cancer freeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!! I am now added to the list of survivors at this stage. I still will be required have checkups, blood work, scans every 3 months and then 6 months then yearly until I hit the 5 year mark.

Tom Petty song is my motto – “won’t back down” a big F U to cancer and its horribleness.

This has been a tough road, massive blood loss mimicking a heart attack back in April, the extensive surgery in May and recuperation, special diet as part of that, then teh chemo and all the check ups and woodwork and scans. 

I cannot thank my wife Christine,children Mike and Matt for being there with me. The wedding vow through sickness and health, well that sure was implemented for me from her with this disease.  That is true love.

To all my true friends, colleagues, students and tehir parents for all the love, caring, kindness and support that gave me teh strength to fight (oh did I fight) and make it through the hardest obstacle of my life so far (God I hope there are not any otehr like this!). To God, our creator and all my deceased family members and friends who I prayed to for me and my family this as been a blessing – why you ask? Cause he gave this to me not my kids or wife or nephews or nieces but me the strong ol ox, BIG AL as I am affectionately called by so many that my son Matt started calling me when he was in the 7th grade and my other son Mike yelled on the streets of College Park at Penn State Friday afternoon as I saw him for the 1st time since we dropped him off at school on Aug 24th!! And if it was my time then I’d have to accept it and move on but it was not and I live to see another day on this beautiful planet, in this great country, with my beautiful family and friends, and with great people who I have been fortunate to coach, teach and get to know as well.
